New GENESTRA BRANDS Cor Defence Helps to Boost Immune Health

Toronto, ON, May 5, 2015 – GENESTRA BRANDS, a trusted Seroyal brand offering safe, effective, and reliable natural health products backed by clinical and traditional evidence, is proud to introduce its new Cor Defence product, a baker’s yeast formula containing antioxidants and EpiCor® for immune support.

“Supporting immune health is important year-round,” said Yves Yau, president, Seroyal International. “We’re proud to offer Cor Defence as a supplement that helps to reduce the incidence of cold and flu symptoms, in addition to balancing immune response to seasonal challenges.”

Developed in a convenient once-daily capsule format, Cor Defence contains European elderberry flower extract, vitamins C and D, and zinc along with 500 mg of clinically tested EpiCor, a dried fermentate of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (baker’s yeast).

A double-blinded, placebo-controlled crossover study by Jenson et al. found that within just 2 hours, 500 mg of EpiCor supplementation enhanced activation of natural killer (NK) cells and significantly increased antioxidant protection. EpiCor’s fast-acting antioxidant power is just one way in which EpiCor provides respiratory and immune support.

An additional double-blinded, placebo-controlled study found that supplementation with 500 mg of EpiCor for 3 months improved immune response to seasonal challenges.

"As a science-based ingredient manufacturer, Embria is very pleased to see EpiCor included in the Cor Defence product,” stated Paul Faganel, president of Embria Health Sciences, maker of EpiCor. "The research behind our product offers health care practitioners peace of mind regarding EpiCor’s efficacy in maintaining a strong immune system for better overall health."

Cor Defence capsules are gluten-free and dairy-free, ideal for vegetarians.
